Job Purpose:
Oversees financial operations, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, managing budgets, and analyzing financial data to support strategic decision-making. They are responsible for financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and implementing internal controls. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for mentoring the finance team and collaborating with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial strategies, conduct financial analysis to support business decisions, and prepare financial reports.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Lead the development of annual budgets and forecasts, monitor variances, and recommend corrective actions.
Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulations and company policies.
Cash Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet operational needs, implement effective treasury and cash management practices.
Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks, propose mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Project Cost Management: Monitor and analyze project costs, identify variances, and implement corrective actions.
Financial Control: Establish and maintain financial control systems, including internal controls, budget control, and financial policies.
Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial information to internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and financial institutions.
Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions to secure favorable financing terms.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certification (CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and regulations.
- Proven experience in financial management, preferably in a construction or project-based environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
