Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
- Lead the finance and accounting function of the company.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements.
- Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations to management.
- Oversee banking relationships and financing activities.
Financial Reporting
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely and accurate management reporting.
- Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
- Present financial reports and insights to senior management.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process.
- Prepare financial forecasts and business plans.
- Monitor departmental budgets and ensure cost optimization.
- Support strategic decision-making through financial analysis.
Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance
- Monitor production costs and manufacturing efficiencies.
- Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs.
- Support inventory valuation and stock control processes.
- Develop cost reduction initiatives and profitability analysis.
Compliance & Audit
- Ensure compliance with Iraqi regulations, tax requirements, and company policies.
- Coordinate external and internal audits.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Support implementation of IFRS and best financial practices where applicable.
Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Establish KPIs and performance objectives.
- Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Project Support
- Participate in business transformation and improvement projects.
- Support ERP implementation and process automation initiatives.
- Coordinate financial aspects of company projects and investments.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent are highly desirable.
Experience
- Minimum 7–10 years of finance and accounting experience.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a Finance Manager or similar leadership role.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience working in companies with 100+ employees.
- Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, and cost accounting.
- Exposure to project management is considered an advantage.
- Experience with ERP systems is highly preferred.
