Finance Manager (Factory)

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

  • Lead the finance and accounting function of the company.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity requirements.
  • Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations to management.
  • Oversee banking relationships and financing activities.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate management reporting.
  • Analyze financial results and provide variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
  • Present financial reports and insights to senior management.

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budgeting process.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and business plans.
  • Monitor departmental budgets and ensure cost optimization.
  • Support strategic decision-making through financial analysis.

Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Finance

  • Monitor production costs and manufacturing efficiencies.
  • Analyze material, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Support inventory valuation and stock control processes.
  • Develop cost reduction initiatives and profitability analysis.

Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with Iraqi regulations, tax requirements, and company policies.
  • Coordinate external and internal audits.
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
  • Support implementation of IFRS and best financial practices where applicable.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
  • Establish KPIs and performance objectives.
  • Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Project Support

  • Participate in business transformation and improvement projects.
  • Support ERP implementation and process automation initiatives.
  • Coordinate financial aspects of company projects and investments.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, CFA, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Experience

  • Minimum 7–10 years of finance and accounting experience.
  • Minimum 3–5 years in a Finance Manager or similar leadership role.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in companies with 100+ employees.
  • Strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, and cost accounting.
  • Exposure to project management is considered an advantage.
  • Experience with ERP systems is highly preferred.
